About Us
WSTA Profile And Background:
Watan Social and Technical Service Association (WSTA) is a not-for-profit, non-government organization established in 1992 for the purpose of providing humanitarian assistance to vulnerable Afghan communities. WSTA started its activity through providing training on small leather- craft income- generating activities to Afghan refugees in Pakistan. Within a short period of time, the organization managed to market its leather products successfully in Pakistan. Success in production and marketing of leather products enabled this organization to expand its activities in other fields related to the reconstruction and development of Afghanistan. During the Taliban Regime in Afghanistan WSTA had been providing the most vulnerable and poorest people with bakery services which funded by WFP and care international. After the collapse of Taliban’s regime WSTA started implementing projects for returnees which were displaced to neighboring countries during civil war, Most of these projects implemented were provision of basic services such as Shelter, Water, food, Education and Livelihood opportunities for Men & Women.
Till end of 2018 WSTA implemented totally (173) Projects funded by different Donors (UNHCR, WFP , UNOCHA, UNWFP, IOM, IRC, Care-International, USAID, Australia Aid, Canada Fund and Relief International), based on the audit reports all the projects were implemented based on the Donor’s requirement and 95% objectives of the projects were achieved, all procurement and financial activities were done based on the procurement policy of WSTA and procurement policy of the donors,
WSTA have an expert & educated team included of several masters and Bachelors, they are always working for achieving organizational goals & objectives, WSTA appreciate their performance in designing and successful implementation of humanitarian projects for the affected Afghan population, also based on their best performances WSTA received several appreciation letters from different Governmental and non-governmental organizations.

Our vision is that all people in Afghanistan will have access to basic needs such as emergency food, water, shelter, education, health services and Job opportunities.

WSTA is committed to enhance empowerment of communities through rehabilitation & reconstruction of destroyed public welfare, Irrigation system, Setup Animal raising farms, Improvement of Handicraft & Social small industries, Women empowerment activities, Protection of IDPs & Returnees and fighting with gender inequality.
Our Main Message:
